**Job Title:** L2 Backup Administrator
**Location:** Pune, Chennai, or Hyderabad
**Shift:** 24x7 Rotational Shifts

**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced **L2 Backup Administrator** with strong expertise in **Cohesity Data Protect** to support and manage enterprise backup and recovery operations. The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining backup environments, ensuring data protection compliance, and providing timely resolution of backup-related incidents. Experience with **IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM)** and **Cobalt Iron** is desirable. Knowledge of automation and scripting will be an added advantage.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Administer, monitor, and support **Cohesity Data Protect** backup infrastructure.
- Perform backup, restore, and recovery operations for physical, virtual, and cloud workloads.
- Troubleshoot and resolve backup failures, performance issues, and infrastructure-related incidents.
- Conduct regular health checks and capacity management of backup environments.
- Manage backup policies, retention schedules, replication, and disaster recovery configurations.
- Support operational activities including incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Generate and maintain backup operational reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, server, database, and application teams to ensure successful backup and recovery operations.
- Participate in backup infrastructure upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.

**Required Skills**

- 3-6 years of experience in enterprise backup administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with **Cohesity Data Protect**.
- Good understanding of backup, restore, replication, retention, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Experience supporting Windows, Linux, and VMware environments.
- Knowledge of backup monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems.

**Preferred Skills**

- Experience with **IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM)**.
- Experience with **Cobalt Iron Compass** backup solutions.
- Scripting and automation skills using **PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar technologies**.
- Exposure to cloud backup technologies and hybrid cloud environments.

**Education & Certifications**

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Cohesity, Storage, or Backup-related certifications are preferred.

**Other Requirements**

- Willingness to work in **24x7 rotational shifts**, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a global operations environment.
