Linux Test Engineer | Senior
Flipper · London Office

Hi! This is the **Flipper** team.

We are the creators of [**Flipper Zero**](https://flipper.net) — a portable device for tech enthusiasts and engineers. It's a gadget with an awesome community that brings together millions of people around the world.

We're building a new product — [**Flipper One**](https://blog.flipper.net/flipper-one-we-need-your-help/). It's a full-featured ARM-based computer running Linux in a compact form factor, powered by the Rockchip RK3576 SoC.

We're looking for a **Linux Test Engineer** to ensure the quality of [**Flipper One**](https://blog.flipper.net/flipper-one-we-need-your-help/) by combining automated and hands-on hardware testing. You'll work closely with the firmware team to build reliable test automation while validating the product on real devices in our London office.

**Responsibilities:**

- Validate firmware and software functionality on real hardware, identifying defects and ensuring reliable product behavior
- Investigate Linux system behavior, collect logs, analyze failures, and help engineers reproduce and resolve issues
- Design, develop, and maintain test suites for Flipper One using Python-based testing frameworks

**Requirements:**

- Deep practical experience with Linux: shell, systemd/services, logs, permissions, networking, processes, cron, SSH, package managers
- Ability to write Bash scripts and use standard Linux tools: `grep`, `awk`, `sed`, `curl`, `journalctl`, `netstat/ss`, `top/htop`, `ps`, `lsof`, `tcpdump` or similar
- Understanding of networking stack at TCP/IP level: Ethernet, IP, TCP/UDP, routing, sockets, ports, DNS, DHCP, ARP, MTU, packet loss, retransmissions, latency, timeouts, and connection states
- Ability to work from our London office, especially during the initial stage of the project

**Nice-to-haves:**

- Experience with IoT, embedded, networking, telecom, infrastructure, cloud, or device-related systems
- Experience with tools such as ModemManager, NetworkManager, `mmcli`, `nmcli`, QMI/MBIM, or AT commands

**What we offer:**

- Workplace in our own stand-alone office located in Design District, London, near North Greenwich Station (Jubilee line).
- You will be provided with all the necessary equipment for a comfortable working environment.
- Benefits such as VHI, corporate sports, foreign language courses, and therapy sessions.
- A five-day workweek with a flexible start of the working day.
